About Us
Hi! My name is Karen Sultan and I am a homeschooled senior in high school. When I was younger, I participated in a church keyboard festival for several years and really enjoyed it. When I was about 11 years old, however, funding fell through for the festival and the founders moved, so the festival was cancelled. Over the past few years I have felt God leading me to start this amazing festival up again, and through lots of prayer and work, it is becoming a reality!

I have taken piano lessons for 9 years now, and have been teaching for the past 3. Yet I noticed that almost all the activities for young pianists and organists involve learning and memorizing pieces for competitions and recitals. Very few students actually get to use their gifts and talents for the Lord through church service. Where is the next generation of music ministers going to come from if we don't start training up musicians from a young age? I hope and pray that this festival helps to strengthen students in these areas:

  • Playing preludes, offertories, and postludes
  • Accompanying a congregation in singing

By encouraging interest in hymn study at a young age and in a comfortable setting, children can not only boost the development of their keyboard skills, but also see why they should be studying music in the first place: to lift up a glorious sound to the Lord!
